Highlights of Archival Records on Government Publicity Materials

The Community Records Workplace (PRO) of the Government Records Service (GRS) has preserved a wealth of such archival records. This exhibit aims to introduce archival records of Hong Kong government promotion contents in the 50’s to the 70’s, and emphasize some outstanding and memorable including such as water rationing and the Festival of Hong Kong, and iconic characters like Mr Zebra, Miss Ping On and Lap Sap Chung. Other related archival records can also be chosen to depict the development of the occasions. This Reference Resource Page is invented to complement this on-site exhibition. It is made of four components: Introduction, Highlights of Authorities Publicity Contents, Image Gallery and Reference List. These are helpful educational resources for students and instructors pursuing such subjects as Liberal Studies, History and Civic Training.
