The Film Archive is devoted to the preservation of Hong-Kong’s film tradition. It accumulates and conserves movies and relevant substances, provides facilities accessible for people, and conducts actions to promote Hong Kong’s film culture and facilitate research in the annals of local theatre. Inside the archive building, which opened in 2001, you will look for a theater, an exhibition corridor and also a resource center, all built with the latest technology to resurrect the glamorous movies of the past.
