Located a simple 15-minute stroll in the main road through panoramic Sai Kung Country Park, this people museum was originally a fortified Hakka hamlet. It was built in the late 19th century by the Wongs, who came from Guangdong province and made a living by selling gewgaws to passing travelers and through the manufacturing of lime bricks and tiles. In 1981, the village and the nearby lime kiln were declared historic monuments. Free admission.
