Big Wave Bay

Big Wave Bay is just also a favorite surfing beach and features a superb beach with clean sands. It is separated from its neighbouring Shek O seashore by the exclusive Shek O Golf and Country Club the seashore is really in a panoramic location overlooked from the hills of Shek O Country Park and also the Dragon’s Again hiking trail. The shore has a changing rooms, showers, bathrooms, cafe and BBQ area. Lifeguard service runs from March to November along with the shore has shark prevention webs.

It takes about 30~40 minutes to walk between Shek O and Large Wave Bay. It’s an alternative that guests may take # 9 bus both to the junction of Shek O Road and Huge Wave Bay Highway or to Big Wave Bay Village (if bus is diverted via Large Wave Bay Village – see previously). To take advantage of the sectional fare with this journey Octopus Card consumers have to “swipe” the card on the card reader when leaving the bus and when boarding.
