THE Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company will create a brilliant return to Hong Kong if it opens the world’s tallest hotel in town in March 2011.

The Ritz Carlton, Hong-kong (imagined), which will occupy floors 102 to 118 of the International Commerce Centre (ICC) in Kowloon, is going to be considered a fashionable and thoroughly modern hotel that genuinely reflects the sophistication, style and elegance of the Ritz Carlton brand in a contemporary way.

“Hong Kong is one of earth’s great cities and we’re pleased to be returning with such an iconic and dynamic resort,” said Herve Humler, president and chief operations officer of The Ritz Carlton. “Occupying the top 16 floors of the ICC tower in Hong-kong is actually a truly unique place for a resort, offering panoramic views across Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island.”

The resort may have 312 guest rooms all supplying striking city and harbour views.

Among the unique characteristics of the resort, which reflects a shift to more casual elegance of The Ritz Carlton brand, will be its bars and restaurants. There will be six dining venues commencing on the floor, including state – of – the-art designer Chinese and Italian restaurants. The alfresco rooftop bar will be considered a truly stunning place at 490 m above sea-level with outstanding views over Hong-kong.

The hotel will boast one of the largest ballrooms within the city at 930 sq m complimented by an additional four meeting rooms.

The Espa, situated on the 116th ground and consisting of 860 sq m of treatment rooms and leisure area, will re define the urban spa experience within the city and across Asia and there’s also a fully equipped fitness centre and an indoor pool on the 118th ground.

General manager, Mark DeCocinis, said: “We are pleased with the construction improvement so far. We’re now concentrating on our choice as well as the training of our ladies and gentlemen. The return of the legendary Ritz Carlton service to Hong-kong has been anticipated for quite a while now and we are ready to transcend the expectations of our loyal customers. It is indeed heartening to know that our guests are excited with this imminent opening as the hotel in the whole world. Bookings from business and leisure travellers for stays commencing April 1, 2011 onwards were extremely inspiring. Using an original item, an exceptional place and also the finest ladies and gentlemen, we’re all set for our opening in March 2011.”
