The train on the East Rail Line goes north into the New Territories and stops in the last destination, Lo Wu that could be the border where visitors can cross into China mainland, together with the right visa. Now, KCR is merged with the MTR to grow into one program. For people who are used to the old KCR, noted that the former Mong Kok station is currently named “Mong Kok East”, and “Kowloon” station is currently named “Hung Hom”.
To head to Shenzhen, you can take the MTR and interchange at the “Kowloon Tong\” station. Switch to the “East Rail” line going to Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau.
Changing from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station to Tsim Sha Tsui East Station, one still needs to exit the turnstiles and re-enter.
Pedestrian tunnels join the Tsim Sha Tsui station along with the East Tsim Sha Tsui station, The tunnels also take you to several attractions in Tsim Sha Tsui like the Avenue of Stars to the waterfront.
In the old KCR program was also the West Rail, western region of New Territories and the railroad connection between Kowloon. It is also, part of MTR now.
