Custom Tips

The following goods may be imported into Hong-kong by individuals over 18 years of age without incurring customs duty:

— 60 cigarettes or 15 cigars or 75g of tobacco.
— alcoholic liquor above 30%.
— Reasonable quantity of other things for personal use.

Note: (a) Antibiotic drugs are prohibited unless affirmed by a medical note. (b) The import of creatures is strictly managed.

Prohibited Imports
Small arms, narcotics, psychotropic drugs, counterfeit items, ammunition, copyright infringed items, plants, endangered species (dead or living) and products deriving from them, poultry, game and fireworks and other explosives. Import/export of these items call for a valid license or permit issued in advance.
